On political stage, they have different side. But on fashion stage, they have common custome. Here they are daughters of three former presidents stroll together on the caltwalk:
Daughters of three former presidents will act as models in a show to promote the use of clothes made of indigenously Indonesian materials here on June 5 to strengthen national unity, a spokesperson for the event`s oragnizers said. Soeharto’s daughter Titik, Abdurrahman Wahid’s Yenny Wahid and Megawati Soekarnoputri’s Puan Maharani would stroll on a catwalk wearing national clothing, committee chairwoman Maya Suharnoko said here Friday. National dresses like “Kebaya” made from “Batik and “Songket” textile made by well-known designers such as Carmanita, Chossy Latu, Ghea Panggabean, Oscar Lawalata, and Samuel Watimena would be shown at the event. Former Bank Indonesia (central bank) deputy governor Miranda Gultom, Jakarta Governor`s wife Rini Sutiyoso and dramatist Jajang C Noer, as well as actresses Nani Wijaya and Rima Melati would also take part in the fashion show as models. Committee members met First Lady Ani Yudhoyono on May 10 to report their plan to her.”
