Another designer whose face reminds the fashion world of our oriental continent, Richard Chai. His appearance in August edition of TeenVogue officially put him among designers those become favorite of the young and stylish like Thakoon, or Zac Posen.
His first collection in New York Fashion Week, October 2004 featured detailed pieces; quilting, cartridge pleats, peplums and origami insets have all been featured. However, the overall look remains minimal, sophisticated, wearable and quietly feminine.
Richard Chai won Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation winner, he also helped launch the Marc by Marc Jacobs line. After that, he moved and became Creative Director post at TSE beyond the scope of the basic cardigan.
